Itchy Feet

You,

"The feeling of discovering a new place / country is synonymous to opening an enormous Christmas gift."

People travel for different reasons: for business or work, for holiday or to have time away from reality or from work, to heal from all sorts of pain, to go shopping, to make friends, to learn about other cultures/food/politics/belief systems, to discover things about himself/herself that would otherwise be unknown if he/she remained in the same safe/comfortable environment for the rest of his/her life.

I have gotten the lucky chance to travel on several occasions for almost all of the above.   Among all the things/experiences/people that made life worth living,  I am mostly grateful for this.  Else, the following would have all been what-ifs on my death bed:

THAILAND. Mar. 2015.
On the 20th of March 2015, around 4 pm in outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand, I sat around this humble table with a Thai Friend's family and relatives - waiting for a newly opened small business blessing that I was happy to be invited to.

It's the first time that I've witnessed a business blessing being done by Buddhist Monks.  Also first time to bond with everyone with Leo Beers as early as 4 pm - perfectly normal around here.

The young lady with faux-blonde hair is a bright, energetic budding entrepreneur with a startup shop in Chatuchak Market during this time.  She just recently graduated from College, but already had this winner mindset.

INDONESIA. Feb. 2015.
From RFID/Technology Conferences, to the extremely satisfying seafood at Seafood City, Bandar, Jakarta, Indonesia.  I've discovered Indonesian's many similarities to Filipinos -- such as family-orientedness which extends not just to immediate family but also work colleagues, not allowing their guests to go hungry, and to letting them experience harsh realities in the country but all received with a big SMILE.  This time, bonding is celebrated over Bintang over Leo :)

Thailand. Oct. 2014.
Gotta make sure the tags are working. :)

Laos. 05.2013.

Brunei Darussalam. June 2014.

Chance to know a progressive Muslim Country that accepts Singapore Dollars.
